Restaurante Casa Emiliano
About This Spot
Restaurante Casa Emiliano sits quietly along Calle de la Plaza in the small village of Femés, inviting you into a warm, unhurried Mediterranean refuge that feels very much like a heartfelt local discovery. Whether you arrive in the golden light of afternoon or as the sun is dipping behind the volcanic hills, the terrace sets the tone—a gentle pause with expansive views across the southern coast of Lanzarote. There’s a calmness here, punctuated by friendly hellos from the staff who seem to treat each guest like an old friend.
This is a place where time slows just enough to appreciate the simplicity and honesty of Canarian and Spanish classics prepared with care. The kitchen crafts dishes that feel familiar yet intimate, whether it’s tender slow-cooked meats or fresh fish caught from nearby waters. The flavors are straightforward and satisfying, the kind of cooking meant to be shared and savored alongside good company and the occasional glass of local wine.
Inside, the atmosphere remains relaxed with a softly buzzing energy that comes from locals and travelers exchanging stories. Occasionally, the road hums nearby, a reminder of the world just beyond these walls, but inside, the mood holds steady—welcoming and unpretentious. It’s the feeling of a neighborhood table where authenticity outweighs polish, and where the rhythm of service doesn’t rush but makes you feel truly attended to.
Whether you’re here to unwind after a day exploring the rugged landscape or simply seeking a place to watch a sunset over Playa Blanca with a steaming cappuccino or a cool drink in hand, Casa Emiliano offers a quiet charm. It’s the kind of spot where the food welcomes you back again and again, and the moments between bites—stories shared, laughter sparked—are what linger long after the meal. A quiet jewel on Lanzarote’s south coast that’s as much about the people and place as it is the plate.

A good address in the South of the island of Lanzarote. Despite a slow service, the staff is very friendly. The food is very good with some Spanish/Canarian classics but also other choices like tartares and tatakis. Eating on the terasse is one of the great point of this restaurant, giving you and amazing view on the South of the island.

If you know the road, you’ll appreciate the spot. Fantastic views down over playa blanca. A perfect place to catch a sunset, and enjoy a vino, after a long day of doing nothing on the beach Only 3 stars for food, (for honesty), because we only had drinks. But the food we did see looked great, and the drinks were good and served by the lovely waiters. Recommended!

Not fair really to knock on one star of atmosphere, at it really is very nice, but just a smidge to close to the road. The service was top notch as was the food and drink. Has excellent garlic mushrooms and canary potatoes. Coffee was also excellent.

We had a lovely dinner today at Casa Emiliano! The food, service & atmosphere was outstanding! Many thanks to the chef & all the waiters, who made our dinner very enjoyable! We had fish soup, ropa vieja, rabbit and pork cheeks, all delicious!

Really good place if you want a local experience. We arrived quite late so we couldn't have the paella, we got the canary stew, onion soup and roasted rabbit and chicken, both with garlic, fries and some vegetables. Very honest hearty food, exactly what we needed after a good hike. Our waiter was really nice as well, he was very welcoming to us and spoke several languages, making communication easy. Overall I would recommend it to anyone

I didn't eat here, but I hit a pothole nearby and my car was undrivable - two lovely people who work there came out to help me - spoke in Spanish to the car rental company and were so kind. I can't comment on the food, but the reviews already speak for themselves - but given the kindness shown to me, please know you'll be looked after by amazing people. Thank you to the lovely chica and chico that helped me, I was so stressed so not sure if I was able to thank you properly. But you made an awful situation for me much better. Xxx
